2/19/03- Memo from FCS-This memo affects those who race Yamaha Sr. Spt. and Briggs Light, Medium, Heavy. Yamaha Sr. Spts. will be changed to run on Saturday instead of Sunday.  It was run on Saturday last year and we will continue with that.  I have spoken to last years competitors regarding this. Briggs Light and Heavy is currently scheduled to run on Saturday with Medium on Sunday.  Those will now switch so that Briggs Medium will be on Saturday and Briggs Light and Heavy will run on Sunday.  This should work as most race Light/Medium or Medium/Heavy. That will balance the number of classes on each day so it remains the same. To summarize, the new race days for the following classes is: Saturday -  Yamaha Sr. Spt. and  Briggs Medium Sunday - Briggs Light and Briggs Heavy All other classes remain the same. I will adjust the race order as appropriate. If anyone has issues with the above, please e-mail
2/14/03- From OGP-Just a quick note to remind everyone that this Saturday is open practice for race #5, and Sunday we race! Our series has been growing rather nicely, and welcome all newcomers. SPORTSMANSHIP
Due to numerous reports of poor sportsmanship arguing and fighting in the pits we are taking the stand of  zero tolerance.  Any one involved in these kinds of incidents will be immediately removed from the property along with their driver or drivers and suspended for a minimum of one race. This needs to be a fun family environment no one should feel threatened to attend our events. Please help me eliminate this type of behavior from our community. Drivers please remember you are responsible for the actions of your crew please do not allow people you employ, family or friends to cause you to receive a penalty

IF YOU HAVE FIRST HAND INFORMATION OF ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED THIS WEEKEND PLEASE CONTACT ME I NEED TO DEAL WITH THIS IMMEDIATELY TO PUT AN END TO THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR.

 Rough Driving

We are having far to many serious on track incidents. Racing is not a contact sport and respect needs to given to each other. Races are not always won by the fastest kart. Passing is an art and must be learned. We will not allow deliberate contact to intimidate or loosen up a competitor to make a pass such contact will result in a immediate black flag. Passes must be clean without contact anyone executing reckless passes will be black flagged anyone blocking an attempt of a clean pass will also be black flagged. Many people have stopped racing or will never start due to the over aggressive un-sportsman like driving being displayed by a few individuals.
Please help me eliminate this problem by notifying me if you feel someone is putting people at risk.

Tech Inspection
I am looking for a permanent Tech Director for our local series if you are qualified for this position or know someone who is please contact me this can be a paid position.

Referees
I am also looking for un-biased people to assist in judging races and assist in administering driving penalties. If you would be interested in helping make our races safer and better please contact me.

Tony Schroeder

12/12/02- The weekend of 11/30-12/1 the Arsenal truck along with David Libby, Merle Libby, and Mike Kogan, made the trip down to Ocala for practice and racing. The track was configured without the chicane as raced in the Manufacturer's Cup last year, and the long slow esses in the infield made for some compromise setups and some interesting racing. Controlled practice was in effect all weekend and the Ocala track staff kept things moving smoothly and efficiently both on and off the track.
Racing began at 12pm on race day, as David raced his ICC with a shifter class with 12 entries. After good runs in both heats, David ran into some bad luck early in the feature and had an off-track excursion. Merle and Mike ran with a 16 kart combined 100cc class that included Yamaha lights and heavies, HPV lights and heavies, Yamaha cans, and even a lonely Briggs. Merle finished 1st in class and 8th place overall, and Mike finished 1st in class and 2nd overall after racing from last to 3rd in both heats.
Wade Alfrone and his Ocala crew made us feel quite at home and ran a great local race event. We're really looking forward to going back for the remaining 3 races in the current season series at Ocala GP in early 2003, and encourage everyone to join us.

Mike Kogan

09/30/02- Layout for this years WKA Manufacturers Cup Event  at Daytona International  Raceway is up now, click thumbnail picture for larger view. Times should be in the 43-47 Second range. Approx gears will be 7.80 for FYSr. and 8.20 for Yamaha/HPV Heavy.  Entry Form. “With the additions of some rumble strips here and there this track will make for good competitive racing.
